Seating for all California Lectures events presented at the Crest Theatre is reserved.
Is the Crest Theatre accessible?
The theatre is wheelchair accessible and provides assistive listening devices upon request. California Lectures also provides ASL interpreting services by certified interpreters at each of our events. Please contact our office at (916) 737-1300 for more information.
Is there late seating?
Seating is not guaranteed after the lecture begins.
Are books for sale at the event?
Books by the featured author are available for purchase at each event through our community partner Time Tested Books.
Will the authors be signing books?
Many of our featured guests sign books after their presentation. Please check our website for updated information about each author found on the Programs page. As a standard, the authors prefer to sign one to two books that are purchased in the lobby on the evening of their event.

Where do I purchase Season Subscription tickets?
Place your Season Subscription order over the phone at (916) 737-1300, on our secure online subscription order form, or by printing and mailing the downloadable subscription order form.
What if I lose my Season Subscription tickets?
Subscribers report lost tickets to California Lectures at (916) 737-1300. If our office is already closed on the day of an event, the Crest Theatre (which maintains a list of current Season Subscribers) can replace lost subscription tickets at the ticket window. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the event to ensure you have time to secure your replacement tickets.
Where do I purchase single tickets?
Single tickets may be purchased through Tickets.com or (800) 225-2277 (service fee applies) or in person at the Crest Theatre Box Office (no service fee) Monday-Thursday from 4:30-8:00 p.m. and Friday-Sunday from 12:30-8:00 p.m.
What if I lose my single tickets?
Single ticket holders report lost tickets to the Crest Theatre at (916) 442-5189 or Tickets.com at (800) 225-2277.
When will my tickets be mailed?
California Lectures will mail your subscriptions at least two weeks prior to the first season event. Single tickets are mailed upon order through tickets.com or you can pick up your tickets in person at the Crest Theatre.

How do I get a copy of the California Lectures event I heard broadcast on Capital Public Radio?
California Lectures secures a release from most of our guest authors for limited event broadcasting on Capital Public Radio. We do not have permission to sell or make copies of the recordings available to the general public. While the broadcast programming is limited, we are pleased to be able to offer this unique programming to our community.
